Executive Management

Gary F. Monroe
President

As President and Founder of GMI Construction Services, Mr. Monroe oversees all operations of the company. Prior to founding GMI, he held senior positions managing all construction, field, and office operations for prestigious firms, including Elliot Corporation, Hedley Builders, and Birtcher Construction. In his career, Mr. Monroe has been responsible for over two million square feet of commercial / industrial projects which include industrial parks, office buildings, recreation facilities and parks, public works projects, schools, self storage facilities and remodel / renovations.

John Rope
Vice President of Operations

Mr. Rope started his career with GMI Construction Services in 2001 as Vice President in charge of all Estimating and was heavily involved in the Pre-Construction phase of projects. He became Vice President of Operations in 2006. Mr. Rope has over 30 years of construction experience in California, Nevada, and Colorado building retail, mid-rise and high rise office buildings, warehouses, industrial, parking structures, theme parks, stadiums, self storage, and schools with project values as high as $75 million.

Patrick Bagatourian
Chief Financial Officer

Mr. Bagatourian started his career with GMI Construction Services in 2006 as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Bagatourian is relatively new to GMI, but not new to the construction industry. He has over 15 of experience and was CFO and co-owner of a major steel subcontractor in Orange County.
